Our Favorite Cone Mills Denim Products

It was just announced that the famed Cone Mills White Oak Plant in Greensboro, North Carolina—America's last remaining selvedge denim mill—will cease operations on December 31, 2017. In continuous operation since its opening in 1905, Cone Mills has produced some of the finest denim in the world for over a century. The shuttle-loomed fabric, woven on their decades-old narrow Draper X-3 looms, was sought after by serious American workwear companies and high-end designer labels alike because it is made with integrity, built to last and features a clean, smooth finish. Valet. came of age in the menswear Americana/workwear boom of the mid-aughts and we'll admit, we're sad to hear of the closing. This was the place that taught us all about selvedge denim and about the importance of craftsmanship, not to mention standing by the quality of your work and living up to your professional promises. In honor of the lasting endurance of an item made from Cone Mills denim, we had our team pull together their favorite pieces stitched from denim that was loomed at the White Oak plant. Grab them while you can.
